Save, export and share your TickerCanvas views
Keep named heatmap layouts, move settings between devices and understand what a shared view link contains.

Save a view for a recurring question
A saved view combines a selected index with your filters and presentation settings. Give it a name that explains why it exists: an S&P sector overview, a Nasdaq movement check or a small personal watchlist. Open Customize and use the views controls to save the current configuration.
Views are saved locally by default in that browser or app. On the website, the optional Account page lets you save a cloud copy of your current settings and named views, then review and load it in another signed-in browser. Saving and loading are explicit: signing in does not change a local view, and a newer cloud revision cannot be silently overwritten. Native beta apps retain local views; export and import remain available for moving configurations into or out of an app. Clearing local data can remove a local copy, so export important configurations.
Move settings with an export
Export settings creates a JSON file containing the supported view definitions. On another device, import that file through Customize. This transfers settings, not a fresh market-data feed. The receiving device still reads the service’s shared cached snapshot and must support the settings version.
Import checks the file type and supported settings, and it limits file size rather than treating any uploaded document as a configuration. Keep a copy with a recognizable filename if you use different views for different screens. A configuration export is separate from a PNG export of the rendered map.
Share a view intentionally
Copy a link to a view when you want someone to open the same configuration. The link carries the settings, including selected tickers. It is not an access-controlled private workspace. Anyone with the link can see the selection represented by those settings.
A link reproduces the view settings, not necessarily the exact historical values you saw. The recipient normally receives the available shared snapshot at the time they open it. If you need a fixed picture of a particular session, export a PNG and keep the visible data-session information with it.
Reset filters without destroying the saved design
Reset filters clears the active ticker focus, sectors, search and Top N limit. It keeps the chosen index, theme and sizing preferences. The saved view itself remains available until you delete or replace it. Restore defaults is the broader starting-over command.
For desktop backgrounds, setting the desktop stores a screen-specific view for automatic refresh. Changing a saved view in the interactive app does not silently redefine every configured screen: set that screen’s desktop again when you want it to use a new layout. Desktop border defaults to Automatic, reserving black space for system bars and the Dock or taskbar. Custom margins lets you adjust top, bottom and sides; No reserved margins is available for desktops with hidden bars. These desktop choices do not disable mobile safe areas.
