Design for the screen you actually use

A market canvas that looks good on a laptop may be too dense on a phone or a monitor across the room. Start by choosing a manageable number of companies and a sizing mode that makes the important labels readable. Customize the presentation around that use rather than trying to display the maximum number of names everywhere.

TickerCanvas separates selection from appearance. You can keep the same watchlist while changing its palette, intensity or theme. Saved views help retain a design for a desk monitor and another for a tablet without repeatedly rebuilding the setup.

Choose a palette and intensity

The classic palette uses green for positive changes and red for negative changes. The accessible palette offers an alternative color pairing. Numeric signs and percentages remain useful alongside color, especially when viewing conditions or color perception make a palette less clear.

Color intensity controls how quickly the shade reaches its stronger end of the scale. A stronger color does not change the underlying percentage. Keep the legend and the actual number in mind when comparing sessions or using screenshots made with different intensity settings. Labels prioritize the complete ticker symbol and adapt to each tile. Percentages and company names appear when space permits; a tall narrow tile may turn its ticker vertically. In Customize, Minimum text size lets you choose 8–20 pixels: a larger minimum hides labels that cannot fit, while preserving tile areas. The threshold is saved with your view and exported settings, and Reset filters preserves it. The smallest tiles can still require opening company details or choosing fewer companies. Opacity is another presentation setting; it does not change data coverage.

Choose how much movement you want

Animated reflow helps track where tiles go when you change sizing, grouping or selection. Staggered snapshot updates spread the visual reveal of actual changes across a short sequence. Disable either option when motion distracts from your task. The interface also respects the device’s reduced-motion preference.

The automatic desktop renders a stable background rather than continuously moving rectangles behind your working windows. Its refresh is about reflecting the saved view and the available snapshot, not running an animation loop on the desktop. Use the interactive app when you want to explore tiles and company details.

Make a repeatable view

Try a smaller Top N view, equal area and a clear palette on a compact screen. On a larger monitor, sector grouping and more company names can be helpful. Reset filters returns to the entire chosen index while keeping your design. Save or export the result before clearing local app data.

Customization is unlocked for beta testing. The planned Pro subscription and store purchasing features remain separate from the optional website account. Cloud save and load on the Account page are available without a purchase; automatic cross-app synchronization is not active. Your current choices should be judged by what the beta actually lets you do today.
